We had a party and everyone brought a remote controlled watercraft. This is everyone sitting in the heat watching Daniel drive the boats.
Huge Tube
We made a really great purchase this summer. It was a huge tube! Here are Daniel and Cate on the tube. Of course Daniel is the one showing off...
Best Friends
Leilu made a friend this summer. Her friend would come over and visit anytime she was on the back deck. This friend also slept on our cars (Wes' favorite).
Wes and I really like wine, or any alcohol for that matter. I went to California for a work trip and Wes was able to come and meet me for a weekend wine country trip. Here are Wes and I at the Kendall Jackson winery. It turns out they don't have any good wine.
After a tour at Korbel, they mentioned there was a state park right down the road. It seemed like a great time to stop off for an afternoon hike. The trees are just crazy big.
This tree was blocking the path, so I had to pull out some of my secret Karate skillz.
Heavener
We went to Heavener for Ma's funeral. I was only able to meet her once, but am lucky enough to see her wonderful influence in the whole family. Although it was sad, it was a great time to hear everyone tell stories and see the impact that she had on everyone's lives. Daniel learned how to swing bamboo which was another special lession from Wes (see the 4th of July posting below). Here he is with his bamboo at the Runestone.
There is also a deer pen close to downtown Heavener. We made a quick trip with the kids to feed the deer. Wes really thought the crackers would be a big hit. Notice in the first picture Daniel has a cracker and in the second picture he has leaves.
